Understand what is LSRW method?
We have to approach a language in the same way how we have approached our own mother tongue. As a child what did we do, we listened to people around us speaking a language, our mother tongue. Secondly, we try to speak the language with broken words and sentences. The third stage where we know how to write the language and in the final stage we know to write the words or sentences learnt.
The first two steps – Listening and Speaking happen at an informal atmosphere. The last two steps – reading and writing happen at a formal atmosphere
Likewise any language could only be (and also the best way) acquired in the same way how we had acquired our mother tongue. This is where this process of learning our mother tongue abbreviated as LSRW, its meaning is given below
L – stands for Listening
S – stands for Speaking
R – stands for Reading
W – stands for Writing
Hence, the time tested model has evolved to be famously called as LSRW.
